On 25 July 1660, Giovanni Rovetta received 25 ducats for having composed a mass and four Magnificats, together with purchase of paper, copying and binding (Venice, Archivio di Stato, Procuratoria de Supra, Chiesa, reg. 146, fol. 78v: ‘per sodisfar l’opera, et la spesa di ligatura, e carte reali della Messa, et quatro Magnificat’).
On 26 February 1671 (1670 more veneto), the Procurators of St Mark’s approved a payment in favour of the maestro di cappella Francesco Cavalli for the binding of a choirbook containing Magnificats and motets (Venice, Archivio di Stato, Procuratoria de Supra, Chiesa, reg. 146, fol. 165v: ‘in far religar [...] altro libro delli Magnificat, et Mottetti’). This payment was perhaps related to the choirbook.
