NOTES | The title-page indicates the probable date of compilation (1720), together with the date of Antonio Lotti’s election as maestro di cappella at St Mark’s (1736). The latter is a later addition. What remains of a label on the front cover (exterior) seems to bear the annotation ‘12’, presumably stemming from an earlier numbering of the choirbooks. The same number appears on another label, glued to the verso of the front endpaper. |
