SHELF MARK | Basilica di San Marco, Libri musicali 7 |
SHORT TITLE | Antonio Biffi: Missa brevis |
DESCRIPTION
IDENTIFIER | DOI: 10.14277/unive/vmo/soundstmark/2017/choirbook7 |
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION | 18 sheets: 1 front flyleaf 17 sheets with music In-plano. Maximum sheet size (mm): 754 (height) x 496 (width) Folios unnumbered Before restoration (2015), the manuscript had 19 sheets: what is now the front pastedown, glued to the cover, was formerly the first of 2 free flyleaves. During restoration, the second front flyleaf, 2/3 incomplete (in its lower section), was reconstructed. The margins of the other sheets, characterized by evident lacunae and signs of wear and tear, were also reintegrated. |
BINDING | The choirbook is cord bound between two unadorned paperboard covers; the spine is uncovered. Before restoration (2015), the binding thread was broken and incomplete: eight of the twelve raised bands were broken at the front joint. During restoration, spine and raised bands were replaced. |
